Hello! My name is Yael. I have a formal education in life science and for many years I have enjoyed practicing various aspects of art design, as well. Five years ago I discovered the wonderful world of beads and I became addicted to its magic since.
I design and handcraft unique jewelry by using a variety of techniques and materials. I love to create bead woven and bead-embroidered wearable art. Bead embroidery is the art of stitching beads onto fabric with needle and silk thread. Bead embroidery is very similar to painting. I like to play with my seed beads in their infinite color range, spread them on my working table and "paint" with them. Besides focusing on color, I also add texture and dimension by using beads of different shapes and sizes.
Glass beads and crystals are a magic medium of expression as they reflect the light like no other material.
My beadwork is designed to emphasize the delicacy and beauty of tiny glass seed beads by using light as an enhancing tool.
I often find, while designing and creating a new piece, that the beads have a life of their own and they guide me to the desired pattern.
For me, designing with beads is a way of communicating with other people.
I believe that by choosing to wear bead art, every woman can better express her inner self and her unique personality.
I produce my own original pieces of wearable art as well as commissioned work. I will work within a client's budget to produce personal pieces.
